Eight Lesson Topics:
1. Series Representations and Indeterminate Forms
Upon completion of this lesson the student will have an understanding of Maclaurin and Taylor series operated. Then the student will focus on indeterminate forms and L'Hopital's Rule.
2. Fourier Series and Differential Equations
Upon completion of this lesson the student will have an understanding of Fourier series and Differential equations.
3. Transient Analysis, Part I
Upon completion of this lesson the student will understand the difference between step, ramp, exponential, and sinusoidal waveform analysis. They will interpret the waveforms and reproduce them based on their equations.
4. Transient Analysis, Part II
Upon completion of this lesson the student will understand the analysis of circuit parameters using mesh and nodal equations. They will investigate how capacitors, inductors, transformers, resistors affect the circuit. They will then investigate how to solve RL and RC circuits in the time domain.
5. Transient Analysis, Part III
Upon completion of this lesson the student will understand how to transform the time domain analysis into the Laplace transform. They will do this through partial fractions, quadratic equations, and complex numbers.
6. : Transient Analysis, Part IV
Upon completion of this lesson the student will continue to develop an understanding of analyzing a circuit using the Laplace transformation and s domain analysis.
7. Transient Analysis, Part V
Upon completion of this lesson the student will understand what the poles and zeros are and the s-plane graphical representation. They will learn about the transfer functions of a block diagram.
8. Transient Analysis, Part VI
Upon completion of this lesson the student will understand the frequency response of a circuit by developing Bode plots and Phase Margin graphs.
Student Evaluation and Grading Method:
Students are required to complete all performance requirements above. Each of the eight assignments concludes with an examination comprising of a multiple-choice test.
The assignment examinations are open book. The final grade for this course will be determined as follows: eight examinations equals 100% of the final grade.
These are the same 8 lessons found in World College's Bachelor's Degree program. You could transfer any completed lessons from this course over to World College's nationally accredited Bachelor's Degree program and get full tuition and academic credit.
