Servo Training Part 1:
Learn basic servo control fundamentals. Learn the difference between open-loop and closed-loop circuit designs. You will be introduced to ohm's law, power equations, the difference between series and parallel circuits and the basic sections used in every servo control system. 29 min.
Servo Training Part 2:
Part 2 provides an exciting introduction to AC and DC motor operation. Permanent magnet and field wound DC motors are explained as well as single and 3-phase squirrel cage AC motor operation. 3-phase electricity, shunt, series and compound DC servo connections are also covered. 28 min.
Servo Training Part 3:
Training session part 3 takes a fascinating journey into semiconductor theory and operation. You will examine diodes, BJT, FET, MOSFET, SCR and TRIAC semiconductor operations. Learn about doping, conduction energy bands and the depletion region and how to test these various devices. 30 min.
Servo Training Part 4: Training session part 4 provides an in depth examination of common feedback devices used to monitor velocity and position of servo controlled devices. Tach's encoders, inductosyn scales, resolvers, the LVDT, active transducers and passive transducers are all covered. 29 min.
Servo Training Part 5:
In part 5 you will gain an in depth understanding of DC servo control fundamentals and techniques. Ramp control, PWM control and phase control are covered. They will also examine the basic selections of every DC servo system as well as mechanical, dynamic and regenerative braking systems. 31 min

Examine AC servo control techniques. Learn the difference between VSI, VVI and CSI systems. Examine phase, ramp, frequency, PWM and chopper control inverter systems. 29 min.

Training session 7 provides an in depth understanding of stepper motor drives, brushless motor drive and the theory of operation behind the vector motor drive. Part 7 also covers servo integration, external connections, cabling, enclosures, electrical problems and grounding techniques. 30 min.
